My latest satirical entry on The Cronk of Higher Education can be found RIGHT HERE! Don’t be afraid to click the link — it’s all suitable for work, unless of course your office is near the dean’s.

I’m long out of college but still surrounded by geeks. Lord knows I love me some geeks.
Wish I had been a bit geekier in college. I might actually have learned something.
I don’t think I’ve ever been smart enough to qualify as a geek–I’m more of a geek hanger-on.
Any Tolkien fan worth her salt knows balrogs don’t have wings.
You would not believe the battles I have witnessed on this score. Really.
I think you described my daughter’s circle perfectly…enjoyed the read
Thanks, Audra — from one mother of a geek to another. 😉
yes the girls are infiltrating and I love it :)..show them boys
You’re a mistress of satire. I never went to a four year college but the ascendancy of geeks was apparent at the community college I attended. Thank God the little buggers didn’t think Culinary Arts and Food Service Management were ripe for a makeover. As a result we partied and graduated even though the real students thought we were frauds. We made more money out of the box and didn’t have to submit to a four year institution.
Smart guy, Tom. It took decades to pay off my student loans. Of course, they’d have been a lot lower if I hadn’t had such a good time running them up. 😉
